Steve Nash and Raymond Weil Watches

A few weeks back we talked about Oprah Winfrey and her appreciation for Philip Stein watches. While we have no qualms against men watching Oprah, it’s hard to argue against the statement that that posting was likely more interesting to the females who read this blog than the males.

Well, this one is for the dudes.

Steve Nash, NBA point guard and two-time League MVP has been announced as a new ambassador for the Raymond Weil Watch Company. In return, Raymond Weil has agreed to donate $60,000 to the Steve Nash Foundation, created to aid underserved children in their health, personal development, and education.

“”I started this Foundation because I really felt the need to try to help people,” says Nash. “As a professional athlete, you are in a position and given the opportunity to really have an impact on more than just your immediate surroundings. For me to be able to do that is something that’s sometimes challenging, but always worthwhile.”

Nash currently plays for the Phoenix Suns. Many are unaware Phoenix is actually where his career started, back in the 1996-97 season. Aftet two years with the Suns, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, where he became one of the league’s best point guards. However, it wasn’t until going back to Phoenix in 2004 that Nash became the perennial MVP candidate he is now known as.

Currently, with his team struggling but his individual play still at a high level, trade rumors are swirling around Steve Nash’s name. Whatever the future has in store for Steve Nash, we’ll know one thing for sure; he’ll be bringing his Raymond Weil watches with him.
