When to Put On Fine Watches
Ever since you were small you watched your father replace his fine watches on his wrist from his nightstand. His clean leather smell, the glint of the crystal and his firm lips as he buckled the strap. You don’t even remember it as a specific memory but rather an image of morning sun shining through the window as he was fully dressed and added the last item of his wardrobe, his jacket slung over his arm.
Now you have fine watches of your own. Your two Raymond Weil watches are your favorites. They are so classy and traditional. You have a black one and a brown one. But like your father you wait to put them on until after you have showered and shaved, buttoned your shirt and windsored your tie. Because you match your fine watches to what you’re wearing, not the other way around.
After that you are ready to begin your day. And because your teeth are clean and your watch doesn’t slide up and down your wrist and your shoes are shined you feel good.
