Do Your Fine Watches Give You Time Enough at Last?
I loved the Twilight Zone as a kid, especially when they started the tradition of marathons on New Year’s Eve on the Sci-Fi channel. They always played the most popular episodes and the one that stuck with me the most was Time Enough at Last. It followed Henry Bemis, a man who works at a bank and takes his daily break to the bank vault to read. One day, when in the vault, the dreaded H-bomb drops. He emerges out of the vault to see that the world is gone, except for many, many books. And he as time enough at last to read every novel he never got to read. Until he trips and breaks his glasses.
Everyone would love all the time in the world to do the things they’ve always wanted, without being rushed or interrupted. Maybe you’d read every book you missed, or listen to every album you didn’t have time to really enjoy. But since we can’t control time, we can at least keep track of it in the best way possible. And that’s with fine watches. If we can’t stop time we can at least enjoy taking a look at how much time we do have left and enjoy the beauty of a great timepiece.
